Hôtel Pestana Porto Santo
Le plus de cet hôtel sont les chambres spacieuses et l’accès à la plage. Je qualifierais par contre le buffet du soir au restaurant de moyen en ce qui concerne la qualité. Le choix est large. Dans les chambres j’ai à nouveau regretté l’absence de chevalet pour poser la valise et la prise électrique unique au chevet du lit.

Golf de Porto Santo
Etant malade (bronchite) je n’ai pas joué ce golf mais mes amis l’ont trouvé magnifique. L’avantage de l’île et qu’il y a moins de nuages qu’à Madère.

Hotel Casa Velha do Palheiro
Charme tout britannique. Manque un chevalet pour y poser la valise. J’y ai dîné deux fois les avec une nettement meilleure impression la deuxième fois. Sur la base Gault et Millau je donnerais 13 points. Détail : chaque fois que l’on bouge sa chaise un crissement désagréable se fait entendre. Il faudrait mettre des patins en feutre sous les pieds des chaises.
Dans la chambre une seule prise électrique au chevet du lit, ce qui est insuffisant.

Golf Palheiro
Parcours magnifique mais difficile offrant une vue superbe sur l’Atlantique. Les nombreuses montées et descentes plaident pour l’utilisation d’une voiturette. Le practice est escarpé.

Golf Santo Serra
Une splendeur que ce parcours largement ouvert sur l’Atlantique. Bien que construit sur une colline les fairways sont larges.

Hotel Marriott Praia del Rey
Cet hôtel est de qualité. Les chambres sont grandes, la vue sur l’océan splendide. Nous avons mangé dans les 2 restaurants, celui à la carte est plus raffiné. L’autre, où un buffet est proposé, permet de satisfaire tous les goûts mais il est très bruyant. Pour varier il faut sortir et prendre un taxi pour Peniche.

Golf West Cliff
La réception n’était pas la meilleure. Si vous envisagez d’apporter votre télémètre ne le faites pas car les drapeaux n’ont pas de réflecteurs. Les 9 derniers trous sont variés et splendides. Il y a parfois plus d’une centaine de mètres entre les trous.

Golf Praia del Rey
Bien que le trou 11 longe l’hôtel il faut prendre une navette pour prendre le départ de ce golf. En effet la distance à pied avec un sac de golf, depuis l’hôtel, est trop grande. Les trous qui longent l’océan sont superbes.

Hôtel Sesimbra & Spa
Par rapport aux séjours précédents, je n’ai pas grand-chose à ajouter. Le choix au petit déjeuner a été légèrement réduit. Un distributeur de confiture très difficile à utiliser a été installé. Le jour libre, nous avons fait une excursion en bateau le long de la côte qui a ravi tout le monde. Je ne peux que recommander.

Golf Aroeira
Le parcours II (Challenge) utilise maintenant la cafeteria de la piscine comme secrétariat et buvette. C’est nettement plus agréable que l’ancienne baraque.

I'm glad to tell you that our holiday went really well, as always!

We managed to play seven rounds, even though a few times it was a little bit rainy. We have played the Estoril golf club so many times that we know already it by heart. So it is convenient to elder players like us.
In ten days there were of course some rainy days but there are always something interesting to do in Estoril, Cascais or Lisbon.

Also the Hotel Palacio is very familiar and we really like the atmosphere, personell and the old palace type building. And we like the story of James Bond movie making there OHMSS. We used to discuss the film with the doorman Jose but now we heard that he has retired. He was a nice person by the door and always very helpful and friendly. But this time we had interesting discussions with another Jose, Jose Diogo. He was actually in the film with a special part as loyal hotel concierge in 1969. Also participating the 50 year's jubileum in 2019 at hotel Palacio.
I unfortunately noticed after arrival that my suitcase had gone broken: the locking system was jammed, and I couldn't open my suitcase. But after contacting the reception I got immediate help of two persons. Anyway, they couldn't manage to open the suitcase, so after asking me they opened it violently.
So I bought a new one from Cascais shop. I asked the front desk if the management could write and undersign what happened so maybe I could use it for insurance purposes or Finnair. And they really did write a certificate or proof! Now I am waiting on an answer from them but Palacio did their part quickly and friendly!
Especialy I like the breakfast at Palacio. I could spend there a few hours, one can choose whatever one likes: healthy, heavy, quick, tasty... Personaly the best things are fruits, oats, yoghurt, cheeses and the good coffee. The dining at the hotel has become better, I'm sure. We ate three times and we were very pleased. And the menu looked more attractive, easy and tasty with quick service.

We walked three times to Cascais and enjoyed the seaside. We went to a very good fish restaurant where we had lunch it was really good and we got a really good taste memory to remember.

Dear Sara, we liked so much Marina Club Lagos, so we stayed two weeks !!
Room was big and clean and situation is fine. Personal is very kind.
The standart of breakfast is not same level as the hotel.
Golf tee times at Palmares were OK.
So, we were very satisfired!

Thank you so much for everything. Generally we had a really nice vacation and we are already planning for next year.
The golf was great, especially Morgado and Salgados.
The hotel Nau São Rafael Atlantico was also very nice and we particularly liked the breakfast menu. The design of the rooms and the location was nice. Only critique that compared to other hotels some staff members there could have been friendlier.

L'hôtel et le service a été impeccable ainsi que les magnifiques parcours que nous avons joué (Royal Óbidos, West Cliffs et Praia d'el Rey). À tel point que nous reviendrons sûrement soit au printemps ou à l'automne . Je ne manquerai pas de vous contacter.

Thats very nice, that you ask about our experience of our travel with you, the hotels, the golf courses and so one.

Hotel Tivoli Marina: Very good Hotel for Golfers. Geographical location near the restaurants very ideal. Sight over the sea super! Room generously and very proper, Staff very very pleasent and helpful. Breakfast exemplary and very good.

Hotel Anantara: A little higher level, than the Tivoli Marina. Room generously and also very proper. Staff extremly friendly and helpfulness. Location a little far from the restaurants, but very quiet hotel. Transfers with the shuttle excellent and very punctual. Breakfast also exemplary and very good. Victoria restaurant for dinner good, but a little impersonal and cool.

Golf courses (Pinhal, Millennium, Victoria & Old course): Very neat. Good organisation. A little too croudy.

Daniel : thanks again for the great lessons. You really helped us gain in confidence and enjoy the game. After you left, we did 3 times the 9 holes of the blue course. I won’t say we crushed the scores, but we kept the pace and did some decent holes. Consistency is still a challenge ;)
