We decided to stay longer.
We had a very nice stay. The Nau Morgado Golf & Country Club services, the courses of Alamos and Morgado are excellent.
We will highly recommend your services to our friends.

Many thanks for your message, and for all your work in coordinating our trip. We had a really excellent time. The Hotel Palacio Estoril is fabulous, the Estoril golf course met our needs perfectly, and all our transfers and club hire worked very smoothly. The area around the hotel has lots of good restaurants and bars, so we were very well catered for each evening.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we would be keen to do something similar (or even exactly the same) next year. 

Eva, I would like to thank you and your team for organizing this wonderful holiday. There are a few things that I would like to comment about. One: the lodging facilities, I would rate Penha Longa #1 and 5 star. I spent one additional night at the Oitavos which was also excellent 5 star. The Troia Lagos apartments were very good as were the apartments at Praia Del Rey. But the bed was too hard At Praia d'el Rey. The sister larger hotel to Lagos in Troia which my GPS took us to first is still closed. 

The Mara restaurant in Praia d'el Rey also remains closed, so the clubhouse there is the only breakfast option.
Speaking of breakfast Pehna Longa and Oitavos was definitely way better than the other two. Praia was only average. Troia did a good job. Oitavos rivalled Penha Longa.

Now the golf:
West Cliffs was spectacularly beautiful and challenging. Massive elevation changes. Definitely the best and would play again many times but take a buggy! Which we did and bring lots of balls. Very easy to lose them there. We changed our tee times and played it twice.
Praia del Rey was also very good but played it on a very windy day so can’t judge it fairly. It’s a mix of links and parkland holes.
Oitavos Dunes we caught on a windy day too and so judging it fairly is hard. Great links design and in excellent condition. I would play it again.
Penha Longa Atlantic & Penha Longa Mosteiro is parkland and also very good especially the championship course. They are in the midst of some bunker refurbishment on a few holes. Once that is done it will be 5 star again.
Troia is a good course but not as good as the others. Less well maintained. No beverage cart. No water to drink on course and no on-course toilets. 
The whole Troia area is still recovering from the COVID disruption.

The building and construction going on around West Cliffs is remarkable. Will not recognize it probably when we come back.
Finally, the Melia hotel Lisbon Airport was excellent for catching an early morning flight. We walked that morning to terminal and made car drop off day before easy and allowed us to take the train into city centre night before departure to visit. Very convenient and efficient.

Eva, thanks to you and the team regarding all the arrangements. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Next time we will order a little less wind, the last golf rounds were not quite as good as the three first ones ;)

Regarding Hotel Palacio Estoril:
- location as expected, i.e. very nice
- rooms allocated: our friends were lucky, they had already by arrival been upgraded to a Superior room. We got a Classic room as ordered – which was really small… I kindly asked if there were any Superior rooms available for upgrade, and luckily we were upgraded after one night. A bit thanks to Palacio, it was definitely a big improvement for our stay
- breakfast was excellent, superior level. We did not eat in the restaurants. The pool area was nice, but due to rather cold weather, we did not spend much time there. Service and housekeeping were excellent, both in restaurant / breakfast and reception & room service.
- Golf: we only played Estoril Golf course. The first day a bit confusing when it comes to directions to the next tee, but the second round already easier. Taking into account the date we were there, the condition of the course was ok. Some extremely beautiful holes and in general a nice course. Clubhouse served our purpose well – grabbing a beer after the round (we did not eat there). Regarding the transportation from the golf course to hotel: there is definitely room for improvement. One day I had to go three times to ask / check, if the transportation has been ordered. This happened also during the other days.

To sum up: all in all a very pleasant stay in Estoril. Portugal is definitely in our scope for the future.

Thank you for your time and effort organizing our recent golf break in the Algarve. We had a great time in Portugal, the Hotel São Rafael Atlântico by Nau was excellent, nice rooms and facilities and all the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The breakfasts and other meals we had in the hotel were also very nice.

The golf courses (Morgado, Salgados & Álamos) were all very good, in excellent condition, maybe Salgados was a little tough for our standard of golf, but still very enjoyable, even though we all lost a few balls in the water! With hindsight, after a very early start from England, we maybe should have had a relaxing day on arrival and played on our departure day instead, but that was our choice.

We also had a couple of very enjoyable evenings out in the Old Town of Albufeira.

As I said initially, we all enjoyed our time in Portugal (despite most of us not playing our best golf!), so much appreciation to you and all concerned at PGE for putting together this package for us. No doubt we'll return again to Portugal in the future, and we wouldn't hesitate to use your company again.

We enjoyed the three courses we played (Quinta da Marinha, Penha Longa & Estoril). We particularly enjoyed the Penha Longa Atlantic Championship course. We found that this club as well as the Estoril golf club had a nice country club feel.

Pierre and I found this to be a wonderful trip, made so much easier for us by the helping hands at Portugal Golf Experience. Everything was very well organized. Thank you so much. We enjoyed it so much that we will probably plan another golf trip in the fall, but are undecided between Spain and Portugal. If we end up choosing Portugal, we will definitely be contacting you at Portugal Golf Experience.

Hotel Marriott Praia d’el Rey :
• We found this hotel to be fantastic, and the staff were also very nice. Check-in was very easy and the handling of the golf passport was simple and clear.
• The breakfast at this hotel was, in itself, a beautiful experience. There are cooks present to prepare omelettes to your liking. The restaurant where breakfast is served is bright, tables are well-placed to be sufficiently at a distance. We had a few snacks at the lobby bar, which has a fantastic view of the ocean as well, and service was excellent. We did not go to any other restaurants.
• We did not use the pools, interior or exterior, but would have liked to use the jacuzzi, which seemed to be still closed on account of the pandemic. 
• We were assigned a delightful room with high ceilings and a beautiful balcony overlooking the ocean. We found this room to be very comfortable and large (by European standards).

Praia d’El Rey golf courses (Bom Sucesso, Praia d'el Rey, Royal Obidos, Camporeal & West Cliffs): We were very happy to experience all the golf courses in the area. The one course we thought was a bit less interesting was Camporeal. It is a bit farther from the Resort than the four others, and I cannot say that it was really worth the drive over there. If I were to return to the area, I would probably not play that course again. All the other courses we played at Praia d’El Rey were fantastic.

Hotel Marriott Praia d'el Rey was great, and the service was excellent. The free shuttle service worked exceptionally well. Also, the customer service person did a great job. Breakfast was tasty. Special thanks to the Omelet station.
Sauna / indoor pool area should be open longer. When coming back from the golf course it would be great to go and relax, but it was always closed by the time we got back.

West Cliffs, Praia d’el Rey & Royal Obidos Golf courses: Great condition on all courses. West Cliffs had several blind landing areas. It was hard to know if the ball was lost or in the middle of the fairway. Great courses.

The biggest problem in the area. No shops to buy snacks or drinks to golf courses. Using shuttle bus a couple of times per week to go to some closest shop would solve the problem, but we did not ask if that had been possible.

Thank you for the great help and service we received. Everything worked at Onyria Quinta da Marinha and the holiday was perfect, and a wonderful anticipation of summer.

The one-week golf vacation at Onyria Quinta da Marinha Resort was fantastic. We have absolutely no reason to complain about anything major. The golf courses Quinta da Marinha, Estoril, Belas, Penha Longa & Lisbon Sports Club were all in excellent condition and the reserved tee times were all correct. We received the voucher for 5x golf when registering at the Quinta da Marinha Golf Course. There were no problems with the redemption.
By the way, we liked the Lisbon Sports Club the most.
All in all a successful golf holiday. Next time Portugal will definitely be back with your company!
