3 Penina Golf Courses
Penina golf resort offers 3 golf courses on site:
- the well renowned 18-hole Sir Henry Cotton Championship course;
- two 9-hole golf courses, the Resort and the Academy courses.
Penina's driving range is one of the largest in Portugal and has the capacity to lodge an average of 70 golfers at one time, complemented by 12 covered bays. The training facilities are completed by four putting greens, two chipping and run greens, a bunker area, golf bag storage, etc.

We had such fun!
We are back from our vacation in Portugal. We had such fun that we didn't want to depart from your country.
Thank you so much for recommending Penina Hotel & Golf Resort. Overall the hotel is great, the staffs were attentive and very nice, both golf courses were wonderful, Championship and Resort.
The food at this hotel were excellent and all restaurants we went to in Lagos, Carvoeiro, Alvor, Portimão and Ferragudo.
Penina Golf Tournament Week
Our group had a wonderful stay at Penina and thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to take part in the Golf Tournament which was exceptionally well organised and a lot of fun.
This was our first time attending this event and Jorge and his staff were tremendous in ensuring our participation in the tournament was an extremely positive and enjoyable experience.
We could not find fault with any aspect of the trip. The Hotel was beautiful, very clean, staff were attentive/polite and the golf course was remarkable, in great condition for the time of year and a great challenge for every level of golfer.
During our stay we were able to make new friends with many of the people attending the event , many of whom I believe have been taking part in this event for over 10 years.
Being first timers we were made to feel extremely welcome and felt extremely comfortable playing golf and socialising with everyone participating in the tournament.
Usually, I am the person responsible for organising golf trips for myself and friends every year and we tend to travel abroad 2- 3 times every year.
Penina event was so well organised it was extremely nice for me not to have any of the usual responsibilities in relation to co-ordinating golf, arranging, transport, tee times etc.

All you arranged for us was perfect. The Golf Clubs came just in time and were in good conditions. We enjoyed playing San Lorenzo and Pinheiros Altos; The Tees and the fairways at Penina need water. After changing the Hotel-room we got a wonderfull renovated room with pool- view at Hotel Penina. So we enjoyed our Holiday in Portugal. Thank you for all arrangements.
