The Vale do Lobo Golf Resort, in the Algarve, Portugal, is home to two exceptional golf courses: Ocean and Royal. Both golf courses are based on concepts by the legendary Sir Henry Cotton and redeveloped by renowned American golf course architect Rocky Roquemore.
The two Vale do Lobo golf courses complement each other perfectly. As its name implies, the Vale do Lobo Ocean Golf Course provides attractive links-style holes adjacent to the Atlantic, while also offering a variety of parkland holes that meander through the Vale do Lobo estate.
The Vale do Lobo Ocean Golf Course features undulating and sandy fairways which run alongside a nature reserve, before leading gently down to the shores of the Atlantic, allowing golfers to tee-off alongside some of the most incredible views of the Algarve and Portugal.
The course's most emblematic holes are two challenging and spectacular par 4s, the 11th and the 14th, which treat golfers to spectacular views. Hole 15, a par 3, runs directly along the beach.
A host of top-notch clubhouse facilities enhance the Vale do Lobo golf experience. The resort is home to an excellent brasserie and restaurant, practice and training facilities and a fully-equipped fitness centre.
Both Vale do Lobo golf courses offer a free golf shuttle service for clients who stay in hotels in the following areas:
