Located in the north of Portugal, 70km from Porto and 20km from Viana do Castelo, the Ponte de Lima Golf Course is a golfer’s paradise. It is a typical mountain course, covering an area of 6km, and is characterised by its lush vegetation and well-restored historic mansions.
The Ponte de Lima Golf Course is a course of contrast, where the first nine holes are hilly and the second nine level.
The first nine holes run along old cork, oak and chestnut trees, leading through a ravine to Quinta do Anquião where holes 1, 2, 8 and 9 offer breathtaking views over the Lima Valley and to the historic coastal town of Viana do Castelo.
Hole number 3 is a par 5, and at 622 metres is the longest in Portugal and also one of the longest in Europe.
The back round runs through the valley of Quinta das Pias, surrounded by vineyards, corn fields and pear and apple orchards.
