Quinta da Penha Longa is a relevant historical site because the first monastery of the Order of St. Jerome was built there in 1355. During the past 600 years, many buildings have been constructed in Penha Longa, such as the Palace, the Church and other sites which can be seen on the Atlantico and Mosteiro golf courses.
