Oitavos Dunes Golf Course lies within the Sintra and Cascais Natural Park, set among pine woods and sand dunes in an area of great natural beauty. Golfers can enjoy picturesque views over the Atlantic Ocean, the hills of Sintra, and Cabo da Roca, Europe's westernmost point. Less than an hour away from Lisbon and the airport, Oitavos Dunes Golf Course is also close to the beaches of Cascais and the historic town of Sintra.
The layout of Oitavos Dunes Golf Course has been carefully crafted by one of the greatest golf architects of our times, ex-president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, Arthur Hills. The course has been excellently integrated into the natural landscape, and in order to guarantee this high quality, there are no compromises in the maintenance of the course.
Oitavos Dunes Golf Course is characterised by three different landscapes. One part is wooded with beautiful umbrella pines, a second part is characterised by dunes and the third is defined by an open coastal landscape. The layout of the course is reminiscent of the classic Scottish links course with an out and back round.
One of the main considerations of the Oitavos Dunes Golf Course is environmental protection, and native flora and fauna are strictly protected in this area.
The "state of the art" Oitavos Dunes Clubhouse provides excellent facilities and offers panoramic views over the golf course and the ocean.
