The Guardian Bom Sucesso Golf Course is located on Portugal's Silver Golf Coast, close to the historic town of Obidos and the beaches of Peniche. The Bom Sucesso Golf Course is a one hour drive from Lisbon, and offers picturesque views over the nearby Obidos Lagoon.
Bom Sucesso is an 18-hole Championship course, designed by world-renowned golf architect Donald Steel. The intention of the architect was to replicate the look of classic golf courses, and Bom Sucesso features a mixture of long greens, lakes and strategically placed bunkers as well as both levelled and uneven terrain.
From the White Tees, the Bom Sucesso Golf Course is difficult enough to test the world’s top players. Yet, from the forward tees, long carries are eliminated so that all levels of golfers can enjoy the experience of navigating around its well placed hazards.
The 17th hole of Bom Sucesso Golf Course is a very exciting par 5. It is located at the highest elevation of the course, swinging downhill and right to left over some superb ridges to a green with the lagoon of Obidos as the backdrop. The temptation for the best golfers will be to cut the corner to reach the green in two, but the steeply sloping ground to the left of the hole will make this a dangerous approach.
