The PGA Aroeira No.1 and PGA Aroeira No.2 golf courses (formerly Aroeira Pines Classic and Aroeira Challenge) became Portugal's first PGA National golf courses following extensive renovations and rebranding in late 2024.
The PGA Aroeira No.2 Golf Course is set in the tranquil Herdade da Aroeira estate, south of Lisbon, Portugal. Located a 30-min drive from the centre of Lisbon and less than 10-min away from the Fonte da Telha beach, the PGA Aroeira No.2 Golf Course is characterized by its pine trees, lakes and bunkers.
Since the opening of the 4-star Aroeira Lisbon Hotel, the PGA Aroeira No.2 Golf Course has become one of the most attractive destinations for golf holidays in the Lisbon region.
Despite the inviting nature of its greens, the PGA Aroeira No.2 Golf Course becomes increasingly difficult as you move from hole number 1 to number 9 (stroke 1) and from number 10 to number 18 (stroke 2).
Unlike its sister course, PGA Aroeira No.1 (formerly Pines Classic), PGA Aroeira No.2 Golf Course features bunkers on the fairways, with some of them in the Scottish style of pot bunkers. As well as the sand traps, there are a number of water hazards due to the courses five large lakes.
