Bom Sucesso Golf Course

Golf Course in the Silver Coast

The Guardian Bom Sucesso Golf course is located in the Silver Golf Coast, near Obidos in Portugal. Situated on the banks of the Obidos lagoon, the Bom Sucesso golf course is at 50 minutes drive from Lisbon.

A Donald Steel's design

The 18-hole Championship Golf course of Guardian Bom Sucesso was designed by Donald Steel and opened in 2008. The intention of the architect was to replicate the look of some of the old classic courses. Most particularly, the long and undulated greens were designed to be very different in surroundings and approaches.

Going back to the roots of golf

With amazing views over the lagoon of Obidos, the Bom Sucesso golf course is a combination between levelled (first 9-holes) and uneven terrain (back 9-holes). It is a strategic golf course designed among lakes and well placed bunkers.
The bunkers at Bom Sucesso have steep faces and are shaped with choppy and gnarled features rather than taking a very smooth appearance.

Enjoyable for all level players

From the White Tees, the Bom Sucesso, in Obidos, is a golf course difficult enough to test the world’s top players. Yet from the forward tees of Bom Sucesso golf course, long carries are eliminated, so that all level of players can enjoy the experience of navigating around the well-placed hazards.

Signature hole of Bom Sucesso

The 17th hole of Bom Sucesso golf course is a very exciting par 5. It is located at the highest elevation of the course, swinging downhill and right to left over some superb ridges to a green with the lagoon of Obidos, as a background. The temptation for the best golfers will be to cut the corner to reach the green in two but the steeply sloping ground to the left of the hole will make this a dangerous approach.
